MAY I congratulate Niall Mulholland on his article
in issue No.114. It gave that rarest of things on what has become a
contentious and difficult subject – a balanced view, making sure to
state the many advantages of religion, organised or otherwise, and
stressing the need for freedom of conscience. I can only hope that in an
ideal world this would exist, and that whilst remaining separate from
religion, the state would at the same time make sure to represent the
spiritual views of all it’s peoples.
