Catalonian masses fight nationalist reaction

Mass resistance erupted when Spain’s national security forces were deployed against Catalonians voting in an independence referendum. Hundreds of people were beaten up, ballot boxes forcibly removed, polling stations locked down by armed police and civil guards.
